What to Expect
The Bayfront Festival Park is one of the city’s most beautiful public parks at Lake Superior. Check out the Aerial Lift Bridge where you’ll see ships from all over the world visiting. Stop by the year-round Playfront Playground where kids of all ages are playing. Check out events and activities all year like the festivals during the summer featuring music, art, food and entertainment. Check out the winter months that celebrate holiday lighting displays and ice skating.
There are restrooms available in the restroom building that’s open during the summer from 8am-8pm so you don’t have to worry about where to take a bathroom break. You can take around the festival grounds, past the harbor and by the stage and play one of the most unique playgrounds in Duluth. It’s a perfect place to people watch and bond with family and friends.
Bayfront Family Center
There is also a family/group place called Bayfront Family Center that is open from the end of May until mid-September from 11am to 7pm Monday through Thursday. It features recreational equipment to use for no charge including kickballs, croquet, volleyball, Frisbee golf and kites. There are extra bathrooms there, sheltered seating and concessions.
