If you are looking to experience European style bakery and classic café food, you need to stop by the Taste of Scandinavia. Top notch ingredients are used to create amazing edible art. The Taste of Scandinavia was established in 1990, and proudly continues to serve the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.

Founded and operated by Soile Anderson, she has utilized authentic recipes from Finland. She brought these recipes along  with her when she made her  move to America nearly 35 years ago.

The Food

All items are made fresh daily from the experienced chefs at the Taste of Scandinavia. Quality is important to the staff, and all menu items are made with this concept in mind.

Menu options are made in house, which adds to the warmth of stopping in and taking home some tasty treats. The Taste of Scandinavia is enjoyed by local patrons, but is also highly anticipated by those outside of the Minneapolis/St. Paul community.

Preparing delicious bakery goods that look stunning is just a standard concept at the Taste of Scandinavia. Offerings include cookies, muffins, cakes, pastries, cheesecakes and breads. Catering is available for weddings, as well as special events. Gift certificates are also available upon request.

Besides bakery options, you can dine in the café or order some takeout. Menu items that are offered include Kransekake, Handmade Potato Lefse, Jule Kage, Pulla Rolls, and so much more. On the menu you will find burgers, desserts, sandwiches, soups, salads, combo meals and kids meals. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all served.
