With the holidays upon us, life can get rather chaotic. There just doesn’t seem to be enough hours in each day. We find ourselves dining out a lot more often and have found some great eateries around the Twin Cities metro.
Although North Oaks isn’t exactly on par with the larger cities when it comes to restaurant choices, we found two that we think newcomers to North Oaks ought to know about.
Tria Restaurant and Bar
It’s the staff that makes or breaks a business and Tria obviously knows this. One of the takeaways from a dinner here is that the service is amazing. Friendly, efficient and courteous, you’ll truly feel like an honored guest when you dine at Tria.
Then, there’s the ambiance, created with wood-burning fireplaces, lots of natural woods and stone and art.
We recommend that you try the seared scallops appetizer, followed by either the Filet Mignon or the absolutely perfect Chicken Coq Au Vin.
Be sure to let them know if you’re celebrating a birthday because you’ll get a complimentary bottle of wine and the birthday boy or girl gets desert on the house.
Tria also serves Sunday brunch from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. They’re located at 5959 Centerville Road in North Oaks.
Japanese-inspired Margaritas? You betcha! Don’t let the strip mall location of Suishin (pronounced “swee-shin”) fool you – this is not your run-of-the-mill sushi place – it’s downright innovative.
So many menu items are amazing, but do try the Suishin roll (spicy tuna, salmon and asparagus), the North Oaks roll (yellow tail, salmon, tuna, avocado, jalapeno, rice and then deep-fried) or, if you’re going for an entrée, you can’t go wrong with the Tonkatsu.
You can dine at the bar, the sushi bar or at a table. Suishin Restaurant is located at 125 Village Center Drive in North Oaks Village Center.
